Afsaneh Afzalnia is an Associate Attorney for the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates. Afzalnia received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and then went on to pursue a Juris Doctor from the University of La Verne, College of Law. During law school, Afzalnia was a member of her school’s Alternate Dispute Resolution team and earned CALI Awards for obtaining the highest grade in her Trial Advocacy class and Remedies class. Due to her passion for helping others, she clerked at the Law Offices of the Public Defender and was later selected to be a part of her school’s Appellate Advocacy Clinic where she drafted and filed an appeal to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Afzalnia was previously a staff attorney at a nonprofit that represented abused and neglected children in the foster care system. While she was there, she was able to gain courtroom and trial experience. She then worked at a private firm where she represented creditor’s rights in debt collection litigation. Afzalnia decided to transition to personal injury because of her demonstrated interest in achieving justice for people who have been wronged. In her spare time, Afzalnia enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, trying new eateries, camping and reading.
