David Libertella is an Associate Attorney for the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates. Born in New York, Libertella and his family eventually migrated to Arizona, and later to California to attend the prestigious Chapman University Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as a film production major, emphasizing in cinematography. Libertella earned many awards as a filmmaker prior to and during film school. However, the non-union Los Angeles film industry was quite volatile, and David zealously advocated on behalf of the crew for proper pay, food, and generally tolerable safety conditions on set. This sparked David’s passion for justice, which eventually led to his yearning to become a lawyer.
David matriculated at the University of San Diego School of Law where he externed for federal district judge Anthony Battaglia. He was also a certified legal intern at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office. There, he argued hundreds of bail hearings, conducted preliminary hearings, and zealously defended adult and juvenile criminal defendants during motions to dismiss, motions to suppress, contested dispositions, and motions to strike a strike.
After law school, David spent three years as an insurance defense lawyer. He is delighted to use the knowledge he acquired in insurance defense to benefit clients of the Law Offices of Samer Habbas.
David is barred in Arizona and California.
