Hala Mousa is an Associate Attorney for the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates. Growing up, Mousa and her family traveled all over the map before settling in Southern California. For her undergraduate degree, Mousa studied Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After she graduated, she spent a gap year backpacking across Europe before attending law school. Mousa earned her Juris Doctor (JD) at Western State College of Law, located in the city of Irvine. She also spent time abroad in Cyprus wherein she completed a course in Dispute Resolution through Loyola Law School.
Traveling the world at such a young age and throughout her early adulthood was a big influence on her decision to pursue a career in law. She wanted to help people—like many of those she met on her excursions—fight for the justice they deserve and hold the negligent parties accountable for their wrongdoings. Her journey as a personal injury attorney gives her an advantage against most opposing counsel. Mousa started as a plaintiff’s attorney for the first few years of her career. Before she represented the defense side. After a few years as a defense attorney, Mousa wanted to return to plaintiff’s work and help those who are facing physical, emotional, and financial injustice. Not only has she gained experience in handling auto accidents, and premises liability matters, Mousa also has a perspective from all sides—plaintiff and defendant.
Mousa is currently a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Orange County Trial Lawyers Association (OCTLA), and the Los Angeles County Bar Association (LACBA).
