Colton Truck Accident Causes Havoc on the 215 Freeway

Truck AccidentA big rig collided with a passenger vehicle on the northbound Interstate 215 Freeway, shutting down all northbound lanes on February 14, 2018. A SigAlert just north of the border between Riverside and San Bernardino counties was at approximately 7 p.m.  Although the fiery collision was expected to close lanes for only 1.5 hours, most lanes remained closed throughout most of the night. Colton police and firefighter worked to direct traffic and extinguish the blaze.

The passengers of the motor vehicle and the truck driver were able to get out of their vehicles before being engulfed in fire. However, the truck driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
