A man suffered serious injuries recently when two San Francisco Municipal Railway buses struck him and one of them subsequently ran over him. Accident investigators say that around 11:00 a.m. on April 21, the victim was crossing the street when he became pinned between two buses on Mission Street in San Francisco. Investigators do not yet know how the victim became pinned, but they do know that after being pinned, one of the buses ran over and seriously injured him. When emergency response personnel arrived on the scene, they found the man beneath the bus, and it had to be raised so that they could reach the victim and remove him for treatment.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. The bus accident is still under investigation, and police have not yet issued any citations in connection with the accident.
