The lawsuits allege that the X2 roller coaster had design defects that date back to 2002.Court documents revealed that one woman visited Six Flags Magic Mountain with her family for her daughter’s 16th birthday. They ended up riding the X2 roller coaster.Following the conclusion of the ride, that woman reportedly felt confused and disoriented. She was hospitalized and reported waking up in a hospital two weeks later after she underwent brain surgery.She told reporters that she sustained a traumatic brain injury that left her in a coma and required her to spend almost a month in the hospital. These lawsuits come after Six Flags Magic Mountain settled a wrongful death lawsuit filed on behalf of a man who died after riding the X2 roller coaster in 2022.Liability for California Roller Coaster AccidentsProperty owners in California have a legal obligation to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition.
