LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (May 31, 2025) – A Yankees fan was injured after he was hit by a falling piece of concrete in Section 10 at the Dodgers Stadium during the third inning of the game. 

Los Angeles County officials are saying that the incident took place on Friday night in a World Series rematch. A large chunk of concrete debris dislodged from the ceiling and hit the fan.

Paramedics were called to the scene in order to assist the victim. A photo of the concrete chunk showed that it was roughly the size of a baseball.

After being attended to by medical personnel for trauma, he went back to his seating area with an ice pack. At some point after the incident, a series of protective netting was installed in order to protect fans from additional falling chunks.

A full investigation of the accident at Dodgers Stadium remains ongoing.
