Michelle Hunter is an Associate Attorney for the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates. Born and raised a resident of Southern California, Hunter attended Chapman University after finishing high school. As an undergrad, Hunter majored in English/Writing and minored in Applied Psychology. Her love for writing landed her a spot on the school newspaper as an editor, and she had multiple works published in the university’s literary magazine. Hunter graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chapman University before continuing her education at Loyola Law School. Hunter volunteered as a legal writer for the local middle school mock trial competition, developing trial documents used for student preparation. As a law student, Hunter received a total of three Wilkins awards for her academic excellence in three courses: Criminal Law, Legal Research & Writing, and Contracts Law. Aside from her academic achievements, Hunter gained hands-on field experience as a Legal Intern at an entertainment law firm and then joined the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates as a Law Clerk.
Starting as a Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Samer Habbas gave Hunter the opportunity to shadow talented attorneys at the firm and perform tasks that helped prepare the attorneys for depositions, mediations, and trial sessions. She exhibited a strong argumentative approach, extensive observational skills, and noteworthy legal writing. Hunter stayed on as a Law Clerk until she became a licensed attorney in the state of California, then promoted to an Associate Attorney.
As an exquisite writer, Hunter composed many different kinds of literary works; from poetry to journalism. However, it was persuasive writing that became a passion of hers. Hunter wanted to use her talents for the greater good, which is why she chose to pursue a career in law—to fight for people’s rights, and for all those who have been wronged. Her in-depth research and analytical skills, tied with her exceptional argumentative writing and profound communicative abilities, are what set her apart from other legal counselors. Hunter isn’t afraid to go the distance for her clients and get them the justice they are rightfully owed.
