Metro Bus Accident in South L.A. Sparks Fire, Leaving 7 Injured

On Monday night, March 28th shortly before 7 p.m., a Metro bus was involved in a collision with three other vehicles at Western Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in South Los Angeles. The accident sparked a fire that quickly spread to the public bus, which was occupied by only the driver. Although the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly knocked down the flames, the bus sustained extensive burn damage and broken windows around the middle. The bus appeared to have been T-boned by a car, which was also severely burned and apparently totaled.

 

The Los Angeles Police Department helped remove the victims from the burning vehicle. The collision left seven people injured, with two of them in critical condition. Six of the victims were taken to a nearby hospital and one individual opted not to go.
