Southern California has recently seen a lot more bicyclists on the road, especially riders on electric-powered bikes. Although e-bikes have become increasingly popular for both recreational and transportation purposes, it is important to understand that they also carry a higher risk of severe injuries than traditional bicycles and a different pattern of injury risks compared with scooters.
