Samer Habbas Settles a Truck Accident Case for $370,000

Bakersfield, Calif. — Senior Partner, Samer Habbas, of the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates secured a settlement for $370,000 for a truck accident. The plaintiff was driving on the 5 freeway when they were forcefully rear-ended by an 18-wheeler. Due to the impact, the plaintiff sustained serious back and shoulder injuries. 

The truck’s insurance company initially denied liability, as they alleged that our client had cut off the 18-wheeler and unnecessarily applied her brakes. It is typical of an insurance company to deny responsibility for the injuries caused and claim those injuries were pre-existing in nature. A lawsuit was filed against the truck company and litigation was commenced. As a result of Habbas’ successful approach, the case settled at mediation for $370,000.
