Auto Accident Case Settled For $500K Policy Limit

Our client was leaving the Newport Golf Course onto Irvine Avenue when he stopped at the intersection of Irvine Avenue and Bristol Street. As he was waiting for the light to turn green, the defendant came from the opposite way of traffic and collided into our client’s vehicle, causing our client’s vehicle to be a total loss. We quickly filed the case and in discovery learned that the defendant’s policy limits were 500K. A policy limit demand was sent from our office and accepted before the time limit expired. Our client underwent a C5-C6 anterior cervical discectomy with disk replacement arthroplasty using M6 from Orthofix spine.
