Associate Attorney Michelle Hunter successfully recovered a settlement reaching the policy limits of $250,000 on an auto accident case. Our client was traveling northbound on Olympia Road in the city of Mission Viejo, CA when a drunk driver traveling in the opposite direction swerved into opposing traffic, colliding head-on with our client’s vehicle, and causing another collision. Upon investigation, it was later discovered that the drunk driver had no insurance coverage.

Our client, who has a history of prior neck surgeries and severe lower back pain, experienced a resurgence of these pre-existing issues as a result of the accident. In addition, the collison inflicted further trauma on her body, exacerbating her pain and discomfort. Initially, she pursued conservative and non-invasive treatments to manage her condition. However, she received little to no comfort from these treatments and was referred to a neurosurgeon who recommended micro decompression surgery as a potential solution. Ultimately, the client decided against moving forward with the surgical option.
