Samer Habbas Achieves a $880,000 Settlement on a Low-Impact Auto Accident

Samer HabbasSan Bernardino, Calif. — Senior Partner, Samer Habbas, of the Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates has landed an $880,000 settlement for a low-impact auto accident. The plaintiff was riding front-passenger seat when the accident occurred. Her driver slowed to make a left hand turn, when a car directly behind failed to notice the decreasing speed and rear-ended the plaintiff.

The plaintiff began to complain of head, neck and back pain almost immediately. She was then taken by ambulance from the scene of the accident. As a result of the impact, the plaintiff suffered a mild traumatic brain injury, along with strains to her lumbar and cervical spine. After multiple treatment sessions on her lumbar and cervical spine, her pain continued to prevail. This exhibited that the conservative treatments she was receiving were ineffective. The plaintiff underwent rounds of surgery, as advised by medical professionals.

Habbas was able to quickly and successfully tender the policy limits on the third-party’s insurance, as well as the plaintiff’s Uninsured Motorist (UM) policy. However, the insurance company of the plaintiff’s driver made no effort to resolve this issue with our client. After a failed-attempt to respond to Habbas’ initial demand, it was clear the insurance company was delaying the process to settle. Due to his aggressive approach, one month before arbitration, Samer Habbas was able to claim a total settlement of $880,000 from the insurance company at mediation.
