Irvine, Calif.𑁋The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates is proud to announce that the winner of the 2019 Samer Habbas & Associates scholarship is Taylor Martin. Out of the many qualified candidates, Martin was chosen to receive the annual scholarship, in which she will be awarded $2,500.

Martin presented exemplary strength and courage through the hardships her family faced. In her application, she outlined the importance of mental health and how, with the right mindset, you can conquer any hurdle thrown your way. Through trial and tribulation, Martin discovered that accidents, though unexpected, are opportunities to grow from and lessons to be learned.

In America, 70 percent of college students are consumed in a significant amount of debt; the average student graduates college with almost $40,000 in student loans. Just attending a college/university is costly enough. When one is faced with a life-altering accident, the costs are more than just physical.
