The victim was traveling through streets on a motorcycle, with no traffic controls, when a motorist, with a stop sign, drove past the traffic control straight in front of the victim’s path. The client had little-to-no time to react and crashed into the motorist at a t-bone collision. The victim suffered significant injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he was treated for his pain. After an examination, doctors diagnosed the patient with a tibial plateau fracture, which required him to undergo surgery.

By identifying the employer, Habbas was able to identify a multi-million dollar insurance policy, which was available to pay for the client’s serious injuries. The parties were ordered by the court to attend mediation. The matter was not resolved at mediation, as the firm walked away from a seven-figure offer from the defense. As the trial date approached, the defense significantly increased its offer and settled for a total of $3.45 million.
